It looks like we have another mess going on. Everyone stay safe and be careful. You may not want to go out unless you feel you can defend yourself. Even non-violent creatures are prone to attacking.

[With that said, she'll go outside later, after spotting a certain creature outside of her window in CH7.]

[Today, during the hectic mess getting out of hand, you may notice around the village a very adorable cat-like creature, walking or even sprinting through the area. If it happens to spot you it'll draw closer. But, if it comes too close...well let's just say that even the most harmless of creatures can become dangerous in this sudden burst of Battledome simulations.

Have no fear though, because around the village there is someone hunting these adorable little things. And if she spots one, she'll be quick to blow it's head off using a faint purple blast of magic. Thankfully this particular brand of adorable creature is very easily to kill. Yet for every time she seems to kill one, a new one pops up in its place.

...Of course, at some point, the sheer number of them come after her. She may be slightly surrounded, but she can handle it. Right...okay no probably not.]

They seem to come back endlessly. Keep vigilant.

[Onto them, huh? This was going to be some kind of walk. One she really rather not take. Homura nods and continues to walk, glancing every now and then behind her to check on Mami and Madoka. Soon enough, a large animal starts to come at them, but it only takes one shot of Homura's gun to blast it away without leaving any trace of it being there.]

[ she paused to consider madoka's question, all the while covering their progress. ]

There must be some cause. Something bringing them into this world. [ in a more ideal situation maybe she would try to track down what that was, but for now protecting madoka was more important. ] It's a shame, but we have our hands full as is. Someone else will have to take care of that.

[ She's still nervous - especially when that big animal starts coming at them, but at least she seems somewhat relieved to at least have Mami and Homura with her..

Instead of focusing on the animals, which only makes her more nervous, she keeps thinking to distract herself a little. ] Well, there are a lot of people here, right..? I'm sure someone will be able to find out what exactly is going on..

It's another one of those experiments from the Malnosso I assume. I doubt someone in the village would do this for no reason, if they even could.

If this is just another of their little games, it's probably meant to unnerve us. [ a shake of the head. ] Unfortunately, I'm not sentimental enough to let these creatures endanger us just because they have Kyuubey's face.

So you think they made them look like Kyuubey on purpose..? [ Well, it's not like Madoka still has a great and good view of Kyuubey, but.. ] That's too cruel..

It isn't just Kyuubey we might run into. So, we should be careful. [Really, she's more worried about running into a Witch simulation than anything else.] The barracks shouldn't be much farther.

[ mami hesitates for a moment before nodding. yes, that makes sense... she'd been avoiding that line of thought. the thought of one Witch in particular is enough to make her blood run a little colder ] Don't worry, Kaname-san. We'll be fine... even if we do run into a Witch, it shouldn't be a problem for all three of us. [ well madoka can't do anything but she's being nice about it... ]

.. Hmm, alright.. [ She nods, trying to look maybe a little determined as well. She can try to be useful somehow, maybe.. ] I'm sure that if we all work together, it won't be a problem at all..

[Working together. That is pretty ideal isn't it? But, for how long will this partnership even last? ...Probably not too long at all. Mami still doesn't look at her favorably, even with this.]

Lets not think about it for now. In the mountains we should be safer.

[ she may have been less suspicious of her than she once was, and cooperating for now was definitely necessary. that still didn't mean she trusted her, however. trust had to be earned, and madoka's favorable view on homura... mami had yet to see anything herself. ]

We should hurry. [ not that they weren't already, but they were really out in the open right now... perhaps this hadn't been the best plan. she hadn't know the landscape they'd need to traverse well enough. ]

[ Their talk is enough to make her quickly glance around the area again. Of course she's pretty sure the other two can handle it, but she still can't help but feel a little frightened. ]

Is it still far off, Homura-chan? [ Homura was leading them for now after all. ]

[She looks around for a quick moment, trying to remember her walks around the village to survey the area, and nods.]

Just a couple more minutes of walking. I'm positive of it. [95% positive at least.]

[ mami has no idea whatsoever, but... ]

We're almost there, Kaname-san. Just keep going, and we'll be there before you know it.

I'm glad..

[ She lets out a slight sigh of relief as she looks at Homura. The quicker they're there, the less chance they'll get attacked more on the way after all, right? ]

And.. it's okay, Mami-san, I'll do my best to keep going.

[Just as they talk, Homura fires off a round at another creature that looks to come at them, as they turn the corner. She's wasting rounds like this. What a pain. But they at least reached the bridge and a large wooden building is in sight now. Homura points to it.]

That's the barracks. The teleporter is inside.

Then it seems we've reached the home stretch. Why not go for broke?

[ she does a slight twirl, causing numerous more rifles to spill out of wherever they come from... before picking one up in each of her hands. ]

You go first, Kaname-san. Go straight for the teleporter and don't look back.

[ Madoka glances from the girls to the barracks and then back to the girls again. She knows she doesn't have to worry about leaving them behind for a moment, they can handle whatever appears, but she can't say she's not a little afraid of running ahead on her own. But if Homura and Mami would want her to, she can make herself be a little more brave. ]

Alright. [ A nod. ] Don't worry about me!

[ because she is already worrying enough for herself by now.. But either way she turns, starting to run towards the big building. ]

Wa--

[But before she gets a chance to voice objections to Mami's proposal, Madoka is already running.]

What are you thinking, just sending her running like that?!

[ she fires a rifle at another creature rushing at madoka, before discarding it to the side. she sweeps another rifle still locked in the ground with a foot, kicking it into her other hand before firing again. ]

If she gets in any trouble, you can handle it... can't you?

[ though she had no intention of letting madoka get into any trouble, she had to admit the opportunity to confirm her suspicions about homura's power was tempting as well. mami's eyes remained glued to madoka's retreating figure, even more so than on any threats to herself, but nonetheless she watched the black haired girl closely as well. ]

[ She probably doesn't even hear Homura and Mami's words anymore, completely losing herself in just making sure she makes it to the building and the teleporter before anything will be able to get her.

When she hears the sound of a gunshot she lets out a slight yelp - glancing to the side for a moment to see it was a creature being taken care of - but she still makes sure to just keep running instead. ]

[Dammit Mami, what are you thinking with doing this?]

You'll go next then. It shouldn't be any trouble for you, right?

I said I would cover the rear, didn't I? You should go ahead.

[ another smile. ] You're still my underclassman after all. It wouldn't do to leave you behind.

[ Well, at least Madoka seems to have reached the building itself relatively safely.. but she's still a little unsure about using the teleporter while Mami and Homura are still back there. So at the front of the building, she actually turns to stand there and look at the other two girls, as if waiting for them. ]

[She looks at Mami briefly when the other says that, but then quickly turns back to Madoka. Good, she made it safely. Homura sighs quietly and then proceeds to go down the same path Madoka did, shooting quickly at any simulations that may pass by.]
